1st Abstract | Supernovae and their remnants represent the violent endpoints in the evolution of some stars. In this talk, I will review results from observations of core-collapse and Ia supernova remnants, and discuss how these results allow us to infer the evolutionary properties of the progenitor system. I will then present recent results from a theoretical study which directly relates bulk observable properties of supernova remnants to progenitor models. I present a framework which allows for end-to-end simulations of massive stars, from the pre-main sequence to millennia after core-collapse. |
